Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Makes Feelings Clear on "Flopper" Chants After Game 3

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander heard the "flopper" chants in San Antonio, but he is not letting them become a storyline. During Game 3 against the Spurs, the crowd repeatedly targeted the Thunder star with chants aimed at his reputation for drawing contact.

After Oklahoma City's win, SGA was asked about the noise and made it clear it does not really affect him either way. For the reigning MVP, it is just part of the game, and not something that fuels him or throws him off.

When asked about the chants and if it affected him SGA said,

"It does nothing. Doesn't fuel me, doesn't discourage me. It's part of the game. I've been dealing with it a long time. I don't really hear it."

Hostile Spurs Fans Fail to Stop SGA and the Thunder

San Antonio fans tried to get under Shai Gilgeous-Alexander's skin in Game 3, and they were not exactly subtle about it.

Every time the Thunder guard went near the line, the building turned on him with "flopper" chants. It was one of the louder crowd moments of the night and showed how much SGA's foul-drawing style has become part of the playoff conversation.

This is not just a Spurs thing either. Around the league, fans have been debating whether Gilgeous-Alexander is simply elite at creating contact or whether he sells it too much. His free-throw numbers have only made that discussion louder, especially with Oklahoma City making a deep run.

The chants came during a game where the Spurs were trying to protect home court and slow down the reigning MVP. Instead, Oklahoma City stayed composed, overcame an early hole, and walked away with a 123-108 win.
