Victor Wembanyama Admits Major Flaw After Spurs Fall Behind OKC
Victor Wembanyama did not sugarcoat things after the Spurs let Game 3 slip away against the Thunder. San Antonio came out flying and built an early 15-point lead, but Oklahoma City slowly took control and turned it into a 123-108 win.
After the loss, Wembanyama pointed the finger at himself, admitting he has to do a better job making his teammates better and playing more within the team. With the Spurs now trailing 2-1 in the series, his response could be a major factor in how San Antonio adjusts moving forward.
"I feel like I have trouble making my teammates better right now ... I need to be more of a team player."

Spurs Set an Unwanted Record in Game 3
Oklahoma City's Game 3 win was a brutal reminder that early leads do not mean much against this Thunder team.
San Antonio started perfectly, jumping out to a 15-0 lead, which was the longest opening run in a conference finals game since play-by-play tracking began in 1997. But instead of building on that dream start, the Spurs became the team that let history slip away.
Once OKC settled in, the game changed fast. The Thunder's bench completely shifted the energy, turning what looked like a Spurs statement into a 123-108 Oklahoma City win.
The reserves were the difference. Jared McCain gave OKC a huge scoring punch with 24 points, Jaylin Williams added 18 while knocking down five threes, and Alex Caruso chipped in 15. Altogether, the Thunder bench scored 76 points, a conference finals record in the modern 16-team playoff format.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander still did his part with 26 points, but he did not have to carry everything. That is what makes Oklahoma City so difficult to beat.
For San Antonio, Victor Wembanyama had 24 points, while Devin Vassell added 20, but the early control disappeared too quickly. The Spurs now trail 2-1, and Game 4 becomes a major test of their response.
