The Mexican national team returns to action to prepare for the 2026 World Cup in a friendly match against Ghana at the Estadio Cuauhtemoc. Mexico will be playing with Liga MX players and a few players who play in Europe.
Mexico announced a short list of 12 Liga MX-based players who will be a part of the Mexico World Cup squad. Mexico also announced a 55-man preliminary list that includes players from Liga MX and Europe.
In the March international break, Mexico drew 0-0 with Portugal and then drew 1-1 with Belgium.
For the match against Ghana tonight, Mexico will play with players who play in Liga MX and will have a few players in the squad that play in Europe, like Guillermo Ochoa, Edson Vasquez, Mateo Chavez, Luis Chavez, Cesar Montes, and Jorge Sanchez.

Mexico vs Ghana will kick off at 10 p.m. ET/ 7 p.m. PT in the United States. The match will kick off at 8 p.m. local time at the Estadio Cuauhtemoc in Puebla, Mexico.
