The 3 Cheapest World Cup Games Three Weeks Before

We are three weeks away from the World Cup beginning across North America, and the hype is, well, kinda there?

What was supposed to be the biggest sporting event to ever hit the United States has felt lukewarm at best as we approach the national team’s opening game in Los Angeles against Paraguay.

And while the get-in price for that historic game has plummeted to under four digits in the lead-up, it’s still one of the more expensive tickets for the World Cup group stage.

Which games are truly the easiest to get into for the World Cup? With three weeks to go, per SeatGeek, here are the trio of games that might need Hollywood seat fillers to look full by game time.

3. Uzbekistan vs. DR Congo (Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta) – $196

The bronze medalist for the cheapest World Cup game goes to two countries that are making history when they play in Atlanta. For Congo, it’s their first appearance at the spectacle for over 50 years, and for their opponents, Uzbekistan, it’s their first time playing at the World Cup.

2. Jordan vs. Algeria (Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara) – $193

After hosting the Super Bowl only a few months ago, where the get-in price was over $4,000, the battle between Jordan and Algeria is coming in at a much more affordable price.

The battle between Arab countries could be one of the more even games in the opening round.

1. Cape Verde vs. Saudi Arabia (NRG Stadium in Houston) – $161

Congratulations to Cape Verde and Saudi Arabia, the current holders of the cheapest World Cup championship belt.

To put things into perspective, the population of Cape Verde is 530,000 people. Houston, where the game is taking place, has a population four times that of the country they’re hosting for their clash with Saudi Arabia.
