Fever's Aliyah Boston Crashes Out Over Her NBA 2K Avatar
If you aren’t watching Aliyah Boston and Candace Parker’s “Post Moves” podcast, what are you doing?
Parker, a soon-to-be inducted Hall of Famer, and Boston, a three-time All-Star for the Indiana Fever, dropped their newest episode on Wednesday. The 55-minute gem featured a review of the Fever’s season-opening loss to Dallas, a recap of the WNBA’s opening weekend overall, and a way-too-early 2026 WNBA end-of-season award prediction.
But Boston and Parker saved the best for last. Around the 41-minute mark, they broke out an impromptu game in which they tried to guess WNBA players based solely on their terribly designed NBA 2K avatars.
They were astoundingly accurate in their guesses, though Boston thought Caitlin Clark was Bridget Carleton at first. When her own digital self appeared on the screen, Boston was utterly disgusted.
Parker gasped and covered her mouth with both hands (!) - unable to contain her amusement and shock - while Boston said, “That’s me. Are we joking? I look like a little boy. Please get me off the screen. Genuinely, they might as well just say, ‘Yes, sir.’ Next picture!”
Parker continued to sit in silence with her mouth covered, but Boston couldn’t stop processing out loud. “I fear for myself,” she said. “Why would they do that? I’ve done face scans!”
The Fever gave Boston the richest total salary in league history by signing her to a four-year, $6.3 million contract extension last month. They should honestly pay her more to review any and everything on camera.
Indiana drafted Boston out of South Carolina with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 WNBA Draft. She won Rookie of the Year and has developed into a franchise cornerstone. Last year, Boston held it down for the injury-riddled Fever and earned All-Defensive and All-WNBA honors.
