Why are we rewarding PG&E for bad behavior?

This month there was an article in The Tribune abut PG&E raising their rates (“PG&E’s rate hike slashed for most,” Aug. 6). After PG&E caused so many problems, one of which was the huge gas leak explosion in Northern California destroying many homes and businesses, why must we pay for their irresponsible mistakes time after time? It always ends up on the backs of the consumers, rewarding PG&E for bad behavior.

How about our water bill increasing for conserving water. Does that make any sense?
