The Tribune should favor Clinton because Trump is too dangerous

Allen Litten (Letters, “Tribune’s favoring of Hillary Clinton needs to end,” Aug. 6) complains that The Tribune favors Hillary Clinton. Perhaps he missed the full-throated Donald Trump propaganda you recently published in the form of an open letter to Mr. Khizr Khan by Ray Starmann (Aug. 3).

But that aside, The Tribune should favor Clinton. Trump is a danger to American democracy. He’s a thin-skinned, uninformed, pro-Putin and division-promoting demagogue. Most importantly, his bogus claim that an election three months away is “rigged” is an attempt to undermine democracy by stirring up his supporters to question the legitimacy of the election, should he lose.

Trump must be defeated.
