Scott Yoo captivates audiences at Festival Mozaic
Scott Yoo has become quite the showman.
In his addition to captivating conducting during this year’s Festival Mozaic, he played the violin with gusto.
Scott is able to conduct while fiddling.
At the July 24 performance of Brahm’s “Piano Quartet,” he was like a boxing trainer — goading the cellist, pianist and violist to match his own intensity.
Scott writhed in his chair, he popped his eyes, he scowled ferociously. At one point, when the music halted for a beat, he let go with a big grunt, punctuating the rest.
Now that takes confidence. It was great musical theater. Bravo, Scott!
