Did Joe Tarica discuss Clinton with his foreign exchange students?

I’m curious if Joe Tarica (“A smile a day keeps Trump away,” July 30) had other equally deep conversations with his exchange students relating to the other candidate, Hillary Clinton.

I will grant that neither option is, in my mind, very good, but Joe could certainly have taken the opportunity to ask the exchange students if they had any thoughts about the various issues surrounding Mrs. Clinton and how great it is to be a politician in a country where a person can go from seemingly broke in 2001 to having hundreds of millions in just a few short years. And they probably have not read much of the analysis and statements by FBI Director James Comey, so have little basis for commenting on her email issues.

Querying them on Trump and then making the segue to Hitler is also a nice touch. But what better source of information for a column on Trump than a 15-year-old from Germany?

I would rather have read two columns from Joe: one praising the exchange students and one slamming Trump.
