Why is the Mid-State Fair held during the hottest time of the year?
Perhaps the powers-that-be who run the Mid-State Fair can explain why they choose to have this event — in Paso Robles — during one of the hottest months of the summer! I realize because of its size, it would be impractical if not impossible to move it somewhere else, but why not do it in the spring or fall when the weather is a little more moderate?
A temperature of 109 degrees (a record July 29) is not exactly conducive to outdoor activity!
Just wondering.
