Laguna Lake could be a major tourist attraction for San Luis Obispo. It’s a diamond in the rough. In many American cities, including where I live, tourism provides the greatest revenue.

With a study by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers or a private engineer firm, the city should think seriously about making this mudhole into a beautiful lake for recreation.

As a beautiful lake, it would attract hotels and restaurants to be built around it for visitors to enjoy. And it would double the values of homes built around it.
