A reason to not trust the voters

Phil Dirkx commented in his column about Supervisors Debbie Arnold and Lynn Compton voting against letting the populace vote on whether they want a half cent sales tax increase to target transportation issues in the county ( “Arnold, Compton don’t want to give voters a say on sales tax hike,” July 21). He ended his comments saying, “Ladies, trust the voters. They elected you.” That in itself is a reason to not trust the voters.
