Dallas police officers did the right thing by killing Micah Johnson

You have got to be joking, Robert Matano of Cayucos (Letters, “Dallas police violated shooter’s civil rights by using an explosive,” July 12).

You are worried about the disregard of civil rights of Micah Johnson, who just murdered five police officers and wanted to kill more.

Common sense tells any normal human being that if someone has killed people, and is trying to kill you, that you should put an end to that person before he kills again.

The police did the right thing by taking out a dangerous killer. I only hope our police chief would do the same thing.
