Sales tax needed for unincorporated parts of SLO County

Supervisor Lynn Compton’s rationale for opposing the San Luis Obispo County transportation sales tax because all seven cities in the county have transportation “slush funds” is very shortsided.

Supervisor Compton needs to remember the needs of the unincorporated communities that do not have a city government to address their infrastructure needs. Many of us who live in the unincorporated areas feel as if our needs are many times inadequately addressed by the county Board of Supervisors.

So thank you to the three supervisors who voted to submit the issue to the voters.
