In June, I collected items and donated them to Sunny Acres sober-living facility on Los Osos Valley Road just outside of San Luis Obispo. I am impressed with the very good attitudes of the residents who received my donations.

All summer from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily, Sunny Acres’ yard sale is happening by its big barn.

Money goes toward completion of the building of a new living facility addition on site — a very worthy project by Dan De Vaul, founder of Sunny Acres.

Laurel Schock, San Luis Obispo
