I see that according to court records, Justin Vineyards and Winery chopped down another 15,000 oak trees in 2011.

So do we have a conclusive total now of 30,000? Or are more gone by the Wonderful Co.’s corporate greed to have their luxury grape crop wipe out the native oaks — an iconic symbol of the San Luis Obispo County landscape?

Wonderful Co. executives now say they will plant 5,000 oaks to show they are good environmental stewards.

What a mere pittance. I’d like to see the Land Conservancy of San Luis Obispo County take over the property and see that the Resnicks and their underlings plant two oaks for every one that was removed.
