Cayucos Lioness Club helping to better the community
As a substitute teacher at Cayucos Elementary School, I had the opportunity to take a class of second-graders to the pool for their first day of swim lessons.
We walked to the pool and were greeted by Patrick, Christian and Caitlyn. These skilled instructors imparted life-saving lessons to students who were excited beyond words.
I sat near the edge of the pool thinking how proud I am to be a Lioness. The entire school body receives swim lessons thanks to the fundraising efforts of the Cayucos Lioness Club.
While the kids thought it was great fun, all I could think was: “This is saving lives.”
Thank you to everyone who supports the ongoing events held by the Cayucos Lioness Club. It takes a village.
