Bible should be on everyone’s must-read list, Joetopia

It’s interesting that Joe Tarica doesn’t think the Bible would be a good reading choice for his teenage son (Column, “Kids need to put down the screen and pick up a book,” July 9).

It is the best-selling book of all time.

Bible references appear regularly in literature, movies, theater and music.

Its influence is felt throughout the entire Western world.

For these reasons alone, even if you’re not a believer, it would make sense for the Bible to be on the must-read list of any educated person.
