Dear Resnicks (“Justin Vineyards owners to donate 380-acre site where oaks were cut down,” June 24),

It’s a little too late to repair your horrific damage that you have allowed.

If you had ever been living in our beautiful county, you might get why we are so upset by the destruction on our wonderful hillsides.

These oaks take forever to grow, they are our heritage. And it’s so distressing to us that you would place money over them.

How much money do you need?

Giving the land over to the conservancy just gets you out of fines. Shame on you.

Susan Diggins, Arroyo Grande
