The Republican Party owes its soul to the NRA

From day one, Mitch McConnell and his ilk declared President Barack Obama would be a one-term president.

They have not allowed any bills to pass without 60 votes of approval.

It’s no surprise all four gun control bills failed because of the Republicans.

How many more lives have to be shattered by violent rampages on innocent citizens before the Republicans entertain tougher gun laws? The words of the Merle Travis song “Sixteen Tons” come to mind. Except instead of “I owe my soul to the company store” they appear to “owe their soul to the NRA.”

The Republican political strategy is to obstruct efforts to help the economy for everyone except the wealthiest few. Then they campaign on complaints that the economy isn’t working and scream that Obama is trying to take away your Second Amendment rights.

Before you vote to elect a Republican in November, Google what bills the Republicans allowed to pass in the past seven years that actually helped you or the economy. If the answer is none, then don’t expect them to change if they win the election.

Their candidate, Donald Trump, is an expert on knowing how to file bankruptcies. Four to date. Don’t let America be his fifth.
