New housing for mentally ill tenants is a win-win for SLO
Congratulations to Transitions-Mental Health Association and our community for the new Bishop Street Studios that was recently submitted for city approvals (“SLO housing application filed for independent, mentally ill tenants,” June 12).
For Transitions, it will provide 34 affordable units for their clients who have worked hard to manage mental illness and live independently, and who need an affordable home. For our city, we will receive new housing to help relieve a crowded rental market, the renovation of the beautiful Sunny Acres building and a great way to support individuals wanting to contribute to our community.
