Assembly candidate Jordan Cunningham would help SLO County thrive

After watching June 7’s election results, I couldn’t be happier to have someone like Jordan Cunningham advance to the general election to compete for the 35th District Assembly seat. Jordan is the only candidate equipped to fight for public safety, education and government accountability.

As a former prosecutor for San Luis Obispo County, he has the relationships with local law enforcement and an understanding of issues in our community. We need someone who will take a local perspective to Sacramento to provide more resources and support for our law enforcement. Too often now, Sacramento is passing laws that only make it harder for local law enforcement to keep our communities safe.

As a school trustee and someone with three young kids in Templeton schools, Jordan understands curriculum standards should be locally controlled and that college tuition costs have escalated out of control. Jordan knows Sacramento is too focused on providing bloated salaries to the administration instead of providing affordable college to our kids.

As the president of the Central Coast Taxpayers Association, Jordan is fighting to protect the taxpayer and to bring to light the mismanagement of government spending. In that, he will fight to stop any new taxes on the working families and small businesses.
