Photo of students posing as Lincoln, Booth was inappropriate

The photo of two Cambria middle school students posing as John Wilkes Booth and Abraham Lincoln and the re-enactment of Lincoln’s assassination (included with the story “Santa Lucia students step back in time at open house,” May 26) was on all levels completely inappropriate.

The school, teacher, parents and your paper acted in a disgraceful manner. How dare you put these children on public display in a criminal act? What are you teaching our children about violence? Obviously that if you kill someone, you’ll get your picture in the paper.

The school district needs to take disciplinary action against the parties who allowed this photo to be published. You are all a disgusting example of teaching, parenting and media reporting.
