Donald Trump and potential running mates making their beds

Evan Agostini/Invision/AP

Donald Trump will be the Republican nominee for president, and speculation has begun about potential running mates and cabinet members. Two names come up often: Newt Gingrich and Rudy Giuliani — which when combined with Trump produce nine marriages, several acknowledged extramarital affairs, one marriage to a cousin (Giuliani) and a marriage to one of your high school teachers

(Gingrich).

It gets kind of creepy, but here it goes. Gingrich’s first wife was his high school geometry teacher, whom he married shortly after he graduated. He was 19; she was 26. He cheated on her and married Marriane Ginther, whom he cheated on with the woman who would become his third wife while he was a Congressman leading the Republican charge to impeach Bill Clinton for cheating.

Rudy Giuliani’s first wife was his second cousin (he claims he didn’t know that) whom he divorced after starting an affair with Donna Hanover — who became his second wife and First Lady of New York, until Giuliani started an affair with Judith Nathan, his third wife.

Trump cheated on his first wife (Ivana) with Marla Maples (he was 40, she was 23), whom he impregnated, then married and cheated on with his current wife Melania Trump. Not surprisingly, he has bragged about his extramarital affairs.

Comforting, isn’t it?
