Guadalupe-Nipomo Dunes refuge feature was excellent

Excellent article and pictures about the Guadalupe-Nipomo Dunes National Wildlife Refuge by David Sneed (“Guadalupe-Nipomo Dunes wildlife refuge may close due to budget cuts,” May 15). I have hiked and camped in this area a great deal during the past 50 years — less now at age 91. I have taken probably 500-plus people to this so-special 2,553-acre treasure.

I liked the comment by Michael Brady of the Hopper Mountain National Wildlife Refuge Complex: “This place is different every time you visit.”

There is a large hill in the refuge that I enjoyed going to. I have a hidden camping spot — try to find it (on foot, of course).
