Kudos to those helping student with tumor go to prom

Jared Springer, a senior at Arroyo Grande High School, was diagnosed with a brain tumor in 2014. He was told that he could not attend his prom because of absences related to a hip injury. Here he is pictured wearing what he planned to wear to the dance.

Wow! What a wonderful contrast for Jared Springer regarding his prom experience.

You deserve this good news for being able to attend the SLO High School prom. You are witnessing the concept of good things happening when good people get together for the purpose of doing the right thing, the right way, at the right time.

You, your family, your friends, as well as San Luis Obispo High School Principal Leslie O’Connor and the Assistant Principal Nick Frost, have earned a public standing ovation for displaying courage, compassion and leadership. Very well done!
