Citing God does not absolve you of personal responsibility

Now Ted Cruz and the evangelicals can go back to prehistoric days and their Bible passages. Cruz, much like the evangelicals before him Mike Huckabee and Rick Santorum, said God told them to run and become president of the U.S.

In 2012, Billy Graham ran full-page ads exhorting believers to vote Republican. And we can see how the elections worked for them. How about letting politics promote our constitutional laws and religion stay in their chosen holy book? It is true that humanity is not perfect, and stating God told you to win that game or election or lottery does not remove self-responsibility from your own actions.
