Let’s raise the level of discourse in local elections
I was saddened by the cheap shot that Alan Thomas took against Dan Carpenter (Letters, “District 3 supervisor candidate Dan Carpenter turns to mudslinging,” April 18).
And the headline just reinforced this miscarriage of justice. There was not one word of fact in his letter to support Alan’s claim of mudslinging, while the exaggerations and excessive negativity (mudslinging?) were a perfect example of “insulting political BS,” to use Alan’s words.
Please, let’s raise the level of discourse to something rational and factual instead of resorting to rude insults and baseless character assassination.
