Paso Robles should require resignations to avoid special elections
To avoid holding a special election in Paso Robles following the San Luis Obispo County Board of Supervisors election, I feel any sitting city councilman or mayor who is running for the county board should be required to resign from his seat. The resignations should be effective on the date of the installation of the new county board, in case one of them is elected to the Board of Supervisors.
That way, a replacement mayor or council member could be elected on the same ballot without the need and expense of the special election.
