Veto of ‘religious freedom’ bill is free-market capitalism in action
Although Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal should be commended for vetoing the so-called “religious freedom” bill, it is disappointing he did so in response to boycott threats by the NFL and Disney, rather than because it is a thinly disguised attempt to pass discriminatory legislation.
The right is already criticizing the decision, but it is not a First Amendment issue or a matter of political correctness. It is free-market capitalism in action, and those who disagree with Deal’s decision have every right to boycott those corporations involved.
