We are all in this together
In light of Donald Trump’s red-cap refrain, “Make America Great Again,” I would like to offer my own green trucker hat response: Make Greater Americans.
Let me say that again: Make Greater Americans.
I’d like to see all of us be more respectful of one another, and the Earth, air and water that we all share, enjoy and rely upon for life.
I’d like to see a return to sanity and decorum, because our children and grandchildren are watching, and I don’t want them to emulate our bad behavior. It’s neither healthy nor productive.
I’d like to see our leaders — elected, appointed and self-selected — loosen their individual grips on ideology and tighten their collective grasp on the idea that we are all in this together and we need to find cooperative and innovative ways to move forward. It is imperative for our well-being, for the sake of future generations and for the planet.
