Letter writer shows little compassion for the homeless
Did Jan Kenny of Simi Valley (“Why let homeless stay at campground?” March 1) ever stop and talk to any of the homeless staying at North Beach Campground in Pismo Beach? If she had, she would have discovered that some were families with children who are attending school.
I was very grateful to our State Parks system for allowing this to happen. I only wish they could have camped there longer until more adequate housing was found. Unfortunately, there is a tremendous shortage of housing and no place to relocate them.
Where is the compassion for the less fortunate?
