Plutocrats aim to kill our representative democratic system

I am convinced that electronic voting machines without a paper trail can be manipulated to produce false outcomes and therefore should never be used, especially in national elections. This might be one of the best ways to preserve whatever is left of our representative democracy. Here is why:

For several decades now, a cancer has been spreading across the nation with the aim of killing our representative democratic system. An apathetic and uninformed electorate has facilitated the spread of the disease.

A small group of plutocrats, either directly (Citizens United, better called Plutocrats United) or by using foundations masquerading as nonprofit organizations, such as Americans for Prosperity (better called Plutocrats for Plutocratic Prosperity) and Club for Growth (better called Club for Plutocratic Growth) have been pouring enormous amounts of money into the political system for the purpose of buying off and/or corrupting our democracy.

This group does not care about the commonwealth of the nation. In fact, many of them have a libertarian philosophy aimed at eliminating any government regulations, environmental and otherwise, in order to create a Darwinian society and transform our land and oceans into giant cesspools and the air we breathe into a gas chamber.

These plutocrats are wealthy, clever and determined, and their political action tentacles are well-funded.
