Put the brakes on bad driving in SLO
Let me say I am privileged to work in the city of San Luis Obispo.
Every day during my lunch break, I go for at least a 1-mile walk to clear my head and get some exercise. But the drivers — young, middle-age and old — are very bad drivers.
It never fails that I have to avoid being hit while on my walk. Let me stress: I always wait for the light to say it’s OK for me to cross.
I have had cars go ahead when it’s my right to be crossing the street, almost hitting me. They never stop! They never show any sign of feeling sorry that they made a mistake. They also cross over into the pedestrian crosswalk, forcing me to cross over into the street in front of them or behind them, endangering my life.
I am here to say you have rude and dangerous drivers in this city.
Please consider others when driving a car. It has the capability of maiming and killing!
