Support Phillips 66 as the best way to move oil
This letter is in response to M.A. Brass’ letter in The Tribune on Feb. 19 (“Oil train proponents don’t live near blast zone”).
I fully support the approval of the rail lines extensions as proposed by Phillips 66.
I am also a supporter of oil refineries and oil processing facilities in San Luis Obispo County. And I believe that transporting oil/gasoline by trains or pipelines is a lot safer than using oil truck tankers on the highways. I am also not afraid to state that I use gasoline and other oil source products.
And Mr. or Mrs. Brass, I live in Pismo Beach and my home is located approximately 100 yards from the rail line running through Pismo Beach.
You must only own electric vehicles, or be a hypocrite, because you are against petroleum production and products.
John Cole, Pismo Beach
