Ted Cruz is no true Christian
I was more than a little disturbed when I learned that Ted Cruz had visited the suburbs of Des Moines on the eve of the Iowa state caucus.
His intent was to secure the votes of the Christian faithful by claiming that he, too, is a “Christian.” He may claim that, but there is not a charitable impulse in his body. Did he not say that he spanked his 5-year-old daughter (cruelty) and that Hillary Clinton should also be spanked (prurient)?
Does he not want to destroy all social “safety nets” that apply to the less fortunate in this country?
Above all, is he not aware that there is a strict policy of separation of church and state in the United States? Campaigning on the back of any religious belief is un-American. Religious dominance is the condition that currently exists in many Middle Eastern countries. Cruz would have us emulate this template it seems.
