Right-wing chain email spreads the wrong message

I am 78 years of age, and I am a proud liberal Democrat. That makes me a minority among my contemporaries, who are overwhelmingly right-wing Republicans. In this role, I have become their whipping boy, the unfortunate recipient of their hate-filled chain emails, sent to rattle my cage. Well, a few days ago I received one of these emails entitled “Re: Payback for all the crap you sent to me. -XXX. Have a Great Day!” At the bottom of the email were two Photoshopped images of Hillary Clinton’s face imposed on a stark-naked, overweight woman’s body, sitting on a floor with her legs spread, smiling at the camera. You read that correctly.

When I confronted my “friends,” they were surprised I didn’t see the humor in the email. One volunteered, “You can send me a nude photo of Chris Christie if you want.” The other said sarcastically, “I thought it was a flattering picture.” This is what it has come to. A former first lady, United States senator, secretary of state and presidential candidate being depicted in this fashion. I am outraged. The raw hatred out there for Hillary Clinton and President Barack Obama is downright frightening.
