Cut government spending to pay for Social Security increases
There was no Social Security cost-of-living increase for 2016. Try telling this to the population of our country where taxes, leases, utilities and food prices constantly increase. The federal government allocates insufficient funds for pensions, Medicare, Medicaid and veterans services.
Some factors are presidential/congressional gridlock, congressional “pork” excesses, stagnant economy, excess federal bureaucracy, the U.S. debt, foreign aid bribery and being “The World’s Policeman.” There are roughly 500 agencies, departments, administrations and commissions! A congressman claims there are 900 military bases in 130 countries! The foreign aid is increased to $46.2 billion from $40.1 billion in 2015!
Reduce support for the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank and U.S. Department of International Development. Lead major countries to solve their regional conflicts; reduce bases to threat areas and fast-response special forces; and sell more weapons and services to reallocate funds for military superiority. After completing a “Chinese Wall,” select candidates with backgrounds of law-abiding and productive citizens contributing for benefits. Reasonable vetting fees only. Congressional “outsider” philosophy also needed?
