Los Osos bike lanes mean a safer ride
Re: “Where did the street parking go in Los Osos?” (Dec. 26): I strongly agree with Tyler Wertenbruch’s support of the new bike lane in Los Osos (“Los Osos bike lanes, parking removal improve safety,” Jan. 14).
I bicycle through this area every day, and I applaud the efforts of local parents, Bike SLO County, SLO County Public Works, Supervisor Bruce Gibson and others to see this project completed. Every business along Los Osos Valley Road has ample off-street parking; there is no incohas ample off-street parking; there is no inconvenience to losing street parking. The buffered bike lane, green lane and the newly painted red curbs are a great improvement in safety and visibility for bicyclists. Thanks for not parking in the bike lane!
