The San Luis Obispo County Regional Airport is my favorite, and the reason is simple: The people who work there are competent and gracious, and I am including the TSA personnel, as well. My wife and I arrived one hour early to depart on American Eagle Flight 5640 to Phoenix to find that we were late, and another flight to San Francisco was leaving within 10 minutes of ours.

Raucous is the only way to describe the atmosphere as two planeloads tried to get clear of the ticketing process and TSA Pre-Check system. Everybody, on both planes, made it aboard. I have had so many bad flying experiences that it gladdens my heart to see people go out of their way to make our flight a pleasant one.

San Luis Obispo, you have a real gem for a airport. We plan to visit your city frequently in the future. This will give us a chance to give airport personnel our warmest thanks.
