It is sad that The Sub’s owner, Richard Ferris, seemingly values possessions over human safety. His criticism of the San Luis Obispo Fire Department is offensive to both the heroic firefighters who did their best to save his building and to the community as a whole. When Mr. Ferris has 25 years of firefighting experience and an advanced degree in fire science, only then will he be qualified to advise SLOFD on proper tactical strategy of a blaze bigger than the one in his barbecue.

Ron Yukelson, San Luis Obispo
