The San Luis Obispo community unquestionably provides a holiday dinner party to our county’s homeless unsurpassed anywhere else in the country. The decadent meal, the musical entertainment, the opportunity to laugh and relax, and the enormous warm winter clothing and sleeping bag care packages prove yet again that San Luis Obispo is unrivaled in kindness and generosity.
This event was not the work of a few individuals — it was a four-month community effort. Tremendous thanks go to: Congregations Beth David and Ohr Tzafon, Temple Ner Shalom, SLO Odd Fellows, Roman Bukachevsky, Mountainbrook Community Church, United Way of SLO, Topaz Solar Farm, King David’s Lodge, Los Ranchos third-graders, Doc Burnstein’s Ice Cream Lab, Talley Farms, Margie’s Diner, Apple Farm Restaurant, Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center, SLO Camp N’ Pack, San Luis Sourdough, San Luis Garbage, PG&E, Lindamood-Bell, Ride-On, SLO U-Haul, Pacific Energy, William Miller and our talented musicians: Billy Foppiano, Frankie Paredes, Charlie Foppiano, Pozo Eric and Paul Rinzler
We are in awe of the countless faithful and altruistic individuals who year after year give selflessly to this event in order to make life a little easier for those less fortunate. With gratitude and respect, we wish you all a happy, healthy and peaceful new year.
