Stop development in SLO County until roads are improved
When I moved to San Luis Obispo County in 1991, I wished for Home Depot. Then I hoped we would have Costco. I moved on to believing Target would be the answer to having my material needs met.
I stopped wishing for any more hotels, stores, further development or more students. I realized we would never have the infrastructure to support all these developments. When it takes me 45 minutes to get home from SLO to Shell Beach, I am raising the white flag. Going on Broad Street through Price Canyon is worse and takes over an hour if going home after 5 p.m.
What are the developers and city planners thinking? Where are all these cars going to go? I opt for no more development until our roads and access improve.
