Republicans out of step with Californians
In “Leaving a Changed California” (Nov. 23), letter writer Arthur Young declares he’s leaving California because “people like us no longer fit in.”
After reviewing his complaints, I have to agree with him.
He presents familiar conservative talking points, devoid of examples or facts to substantiate them. He insults and stereotypes both college students and their professors (“that indoctrinate them”). He complains that the government is dominated by one party.
Yes, this is true: Democrats are the majority party in California as a consequence of Republicans having become completely out of step with voters. Bon voyage, and hasta la vista, baby.
