Thanks for Veterans Day service

I was privileged to join the large group who honored Veterans Day at The Villages in San Luis Obispo. Of note was the parade of resident veterans who began the program and the Village Voices, who sang the songs of each military branch of service.

But I also want to mention the presence and help of the volunteers of Cal Poly’s Delta Tau Delta fraternity who passed out programs and served cake and coffee at the reception that followed. We should be proud of these friendly, helpful, courteous and kind young men.
