In regard to the homelessness issue going on in Grover Beach, I believe that it has not gotten better. I praise the Grover Beach City Council for getting the ordinance passed for the aggressive panhandling; it has helped, but there are still panhandlers on Grand Avenue.
We know its a very touchy subject, but the business owners have had enough. The ones that I have talked to or heard at the last City Council meeting say there is still a huge problem. I see it every day in Grover Beach, and I have had my own experiences with vagrants on more then one occasion. Ramona Park has still been a hub for homeless, and the new cameras have helped with the park.
I think something needs to be done, and its not getting better. When are we going to wake up and realize that there is a growing problem in Grover Beach? I love the city and enjoy it every time I’m there, but I shouldn’t have to live in fear, either.
