To attract business, we need more housing

I want to voice my support for the San Luis Ranch project. I’ve lived on the Central Coast for 13 years now. The housing prices and rental prices do not match the level of jobs that are attainable here.

I see tons of construction out by the airport for commercial space, but we can’t expect to bring companies here if their employees can’t afford to live here. I’ve read several articles over the last years of companies actually leaving. Several I have interviewed with in the past, and those are now lost opportunities for me. In short, corporate job opportunities are decreasing, housing prices are too high and we need a solution to help with both!

I’m all ears to hear why this project might be negative but from my perspective I don’t see any negatives that outweigh the giant positives.
