Downtown SLO is becoming a concrete canyon

Thank you for Sunday’s thoughtful editorial. As a 70-year resident of SLO, it saddens me to see downtown become a cold, dark, concrete canyon. I can understand the attraction of living downtown, but the proposed development is not appropriate. The designers should reduce the height, set it back from the sidewalk and let the sun shine in.
