A thousand thanks to The Trib for publishing Christine Parker-Kennedy’s letter and Gustavo Arellano’s commentary. The Latinos who toil in our fields form the backbone of California’s agricultural economy, but endure conditions that are only a step away from slave labor. I hope to see all Paso residents who appreciate their hard work show up at the next Paso Robles City Council meeting on May 1 to speak out against bigotry and hypocrisy.

Jay Adams, Paso Robles
