SLO County Board of Supervisors majority ‘pilfered’ chairmanship
This letter is in reference to the Jan. 10 article regarding the “tirade” directed at District 3 Supervisor Adam Hill during the public comment section at the Board of Supervisors meeting and then the board failing to elect him to the chairmanship.
The action taken by the board was an epic failure in allowing the people of District 3, who duly elected Adam Hill, to be properly represented by their elected official. Just because people from other districts do not like Hill, does not give the majority members of the board carte blanche to deny representation to county citizens. The board majority is guilty of pilfering the chairmanship from District 3 citizens.
I don’t live in 3, but I do expect more impartiality and proper decorum from my District 5 board member. I do not despair, though. If I may paraphrase part of a recently televised speech, “a new day is on the horizon!”
